Boerewors After Cooking
Made with the highest quality ingredients, it is thick and meaty with a distinctive taste, having a combination of beef, pork and a well-balanced blend of spices (coriander, black pepper, nutmeg, cloves and allspice). It has just the right amount of fat content to make the sausage juicy and tender and will appeal to all connoisseurs of fine sausages. You will recognize it immediately for its distinctive shape – it is formed in a continuous spiral – and it is best cooked on an open bbq.
Boerewors is an integral part of South African cuisine and we are pleased that our Sunshine Coast customers love it as much as we do. The word boerewors comes from a combination of the Afrikaans words ‘boer‘(meaning farmer) and ‘wors’ (meaning sausage). So it is really a rustic, traditional-style sausage.
